In February I had the pleasure to attend the presentation of Hydra Beauty Sérum by Chanel and today I discovered the new products of the line, Hydra Beauty Créme, Gel and Lotion that will hit stores this spring. To get to know the principal ingredients of the products we “flew” to Madagascar with Marie Hélène Lair, scientific communication director at Chanel, to find not only the Blue Diamond of Madagascar, the Blue Ginger but also the NGO “L’homme et environment” that Chanel sustains and works with. Together they are protecting the eco system by planting new trees, helping the local hand craftsmanship, offering work opportunities, schools and food for the children and medical care. They have even opened a house for women, where they can meet and do handicrafts to earn some extra money, on top of working the fields, growing the ginger.
57 kg of Blue Ginger is needed to get 1kg of active ingredient and only a couple of drops is needed in the ready cream to offer the immediate and long duration of protection that the ginger brings to our skin. Together with the Camellia Japonica Alba Plena, the flower of hydration, the new products give protection against smog, dust and stress, hydrating profoundly the skin. I love the rich consistent of the Hydra Beauty créme myself, having a bit of a dry skin, et toi?
