The controversial exhibition Body Worlds by Gunther Von Hagens is opening in Milan and I went to see the preview. Thanks to the technique “plastination” human tissue and bodies are preserved after death, enabling us to admire the wonders of our creation up close. Lots have been said and written about it, creating an ethical discussion on the subject, but I don’t see any grotesque side of it, just an opportunity to see how we look like on the inside, and with that information starting to respect ourselves and our fragilities even more. An important step is actually to start to see life in a more positive way, the benefits of that are amazing!
35 million people in over 70 countries have already seen the exhibition, I would love to know what you think.
